Shot Details: Tahoe Keys Home- Shot for a Real Estate Purpose
Recently in my online circle there has been some talk about the difference between ‘Real Estate Photographers’ and ‘Architectural Photographers’. Until this discussion I did not know their was such a distinction- I do live in a smaller city. And the main difference that I could tell from the forum discussions was pricing and the use of licensing/usage agreements was that of the ‘Architectural Photographer’. Quality work unfortunately is victim to subjectivity of the client. In my opinion there are all types of ‘commercial photographers’ and the most important thing for all of us (Photographers & Business Owners), is to educate and promote the value of our services to perspective and returning clients. If you target Realtors – than educate and promote. If you target Architects than educate and promote. If you target both groups educate and promote. One classification is not better than the other, but client promotion and education can be better than the anothers. The American Society of Media Photographers and the AIA have great freebies for any 'architectural' photographer. Check it out: http://www.asmp.org/architecture/
