The showing of my fine prints was a success. All the content up was truly my best work, yet. This Fall's show had my work displayed on traditional paper, Canvas, and Aluminum. It is always hard to guess which prints will sell - the ones I like usually are not the ones everyone else likes. An excellent photographer and print maker named Charles Cramer http://www.charlescramer.com/ wrote in his last newsletter " First, I think we need to ask what makes an image good or even great. (Just google “What is Art” and get back to me…) What I go by is—does the image elicit some positive emotional response? Some images just make us go “oohhh”. Some just resonate with people. Because, why would a prudent and sane person go into a gallery and walk out having plopped down 500 hard-earned dollars for a photograph? It’s because they had a strong reaction to the image. It got to them on some level. It created an emotional response...." I think the image you see here does that for many people and that is why it is my number one seller. Thanks for all that attended.
